It was an exhausting trade deadline week but such a fun time of year around the NBA. So many possibilities to consider, deals to project, and surprises to astonish us. Now, the buyout market is already heating up with the Lakers making the first big move. Let’s get to it…

Lakers Land Spencer Dinwiddie

The Lakers stood pat at the trade deadline despite their best efforts. Sources told me LA tried to move Gabe Vincent and the remaining years on his contract and found no takers, even with draft capital attached. Vincent has only appeared in five games this season and teams were wary of taking on long-term money. Internally, the Lakers do not consider it to be a certainty that Vincent will be back this season despite projections that he could take the floor in early March.
