ARCHETYPE/POTENTIAL ROLE
A player who you know EXACTLY who he is and what he can do (and can’t do). The only decision teams will have to make is how much they value the size, attributes and skills. His sheer size will be his biggest value offensively where he can eliminate defenders with on ball screens, off ball screens and “highway screens” in the lane. He will make multiple efforts on the offensive boards and should offer rim gravity and play finishing in the necessary playtypes due to his size. There is potential to run some offense through him on the block when he gets a mismatch or against second unit bigs. Not true “hub of the offense” potential due to lack of passing, ability to put the ball on the floor or shoot. He will gobble up rebounds on both ends of the court and will be solely a drop coverage defender in ball screens. At times I would have liked to see quicker reaction time, mobility and recovery to get deflections, steals and blocks off the ball.
