ARCHETYPE/POTENTIAL ROLE

An athletic and good moving (for his position) big that should immediately provide rim gravity and play finishing. The upside and ceiling comes with the potential to space the floor and an all around skill set to operate DHOs effectively and make plays out of the short roll. Will make an impact around the rim defensively based on his length, size and mobility but there is real room for improvement with the nuanced aspects of rim protection. Numbers do show a very impactful rebounder, on both ends, but I think he will need to improve his focus on positioning and boxing out to have the same impact at the next level. Coming into the season there were consistent questions around his “motor” and answering these with his play this season (and in pre draft interviews) may be the ultimate decision factor in where he goes in the draft.
