ARCHETYPE/POTENTIAL ROLE
While the scouting report coming out of high school may have had a higher ceiling, he now profiles as a prototypical 3-and-D wing/forward. In his pre-college tape I thought he moved like he would need to be a forward but I think he's more fluid and smooth than I was giving him credit for and he could stand to add some weight/strength to play minutes as a true forward. While he may not offer a ton off the bounce, he has progressively shown throughout the season an ability to be effective off the ball with knocking down open catch and shoot opportunities along with timely cuts and some offensive rebounding. As he battled through his offensive struggles early in the year, his defensive impact took the forefront of scouts/analysts evaluations. Personally, I give him a lot of credit and think it really speaks to him as a player/person that he was finding a way to contribute and stay on the floor by doing the little things when he was struggling so mightily offensively after being a high level recruit (top 5 by some outlets). He is not a lockdown defensive player but has taken multiple high end matchups that will offer size versatility and potential defensive playmaking if you go back to his high school film.
